Chris Nessen, Owner-Managing Director

Creator Chris Nessen graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 1981, with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. He also attended Newbury College in Boston Ma, where he received his Culinary degree. His professional career started in the kitchen's of various well respected establishments, including The Park Plaza Hotel in Boston and Legal Seafood. 

Since that time he has co-founded Kettle Cuisine Soup, and owned and operated a gourmet food company, Meninno Brothers Gourmet Foods for 20 years. The company was successfully sold in 2011. Thus far he has spent 30 years in the food industry. The Grateful Burger Co. is the third small business that he has started in his career. 


Claude Whiting, Sales Director

Claude Whiting has spent almost three decades in the food industry after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America [CIA], Hyde Park, NY in 1992. After graduating from CIA, Claude has worked as a Food Broker, Corporate Executive Chef, Trainer, and all levels of sales up through to Director of National Sales. Claude has unparalleled experience with existing and new product innovation, research and development, and has been responsible for clean label solutions, ingredient decking and market trend flavors. He is creative and a persistent problem solver within the food industry and embraces relationship development resulting in customer and brand loyalty. Claude is an active member of several industry groups including: American Culinary Federation National; Creative Team, Product Innovation and Enhancement [PIE]; Research Chefs of America; and The National Association of College and University Food [NACUFS]. He has also been the recipient of Broker of the Year, Sysco in 1999 and 2000, and two Golds, two Silvers and Best in Show National at the ACF Culinary Team Competition. Currently as Sales Director for Grateful Burger, his passions with food currently lie with the Seeds of Exchange Sustainable Gardening Program, Earth to Table Real Food, S.E.A.T. [Sit Eat and Teach], and Menu design for Health and Wellness.


Kimberly Sherman

Kimberly Sherman, Communications Director

Kimberly Sherman has worn many hats during her three decade career within the Communications industry. She graduated with Honors from Castleton University with a degree in Corporate Communications and minor in Art/Design. She brings a creative and versatile outlook to every situation. Kim has professional experience in all aspects of the creative process from idea generation to business and social media strategy, thought leadership, branding, content development, writing, editing, and photography. Recently she taught Mass Communications at Southern New Hampshire University. Currently Kim lends her expertise to Grateful Burger where she manages social content, public relations, and branding. While her passion has always been food, now she gets to really dig into the industry at Grateful Burger.
 

She brings her professional skill set to the New England Parkinson’s Ride where for a decade she has been a Board member and also a Century cyclist; to the Michael J Fox Foundation’s Team Fox where she has been a four time guest to the MVP Gala in NY City with Michael J Fox; and to the Nashua Children’s Home where she has served for 15 years as an Ambassador organizing a Holiday gift-giving program that uniquely serves every child in the program.

Eric Nessen, Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Eric attended the Haub School of Business at St Joseph's University in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. Eric is passionate about the culinary industry in all its facets from restaurants to foodservice establishments. This passion is driven by his career thus far. Eric has worked in food manufacturing plants to the kitchen staff at high end restaurants. This exposure has given Eric a unique perspective of the different systems within the food industry. Now on a business oriented track, Eric is excited to be learning yet another facet of this fascinating industry.
